March Favourites!

Image
Hey everyone, It's official!! It's Spring!! and still flipping freezing cold so my enthusiasm for the two mild days we had earlier this month has well and truly worn off! March has been a quiet month in terms of favourites for me.  Although I seem to have bought quite a few new make up and clothing items I haven't really had a chance to put them to good use.... yet! So here's a quick round-up of the few things I've been reaching for in the month of March: Nestling Oval Make Up Brushes I bought these in January and have really enjoyed using them.  I was sceptical at first and thought they were very gimmicky but they apply my foundation and concealer so effortlessly and I find them almost therapeutic to use.  I bought this set from Amazon and although I've stuck to using mainly the larger ones I am eager to try out the smaller ones for eyeshadow and highlighter. Essence Cosmetics Colour and Care Lipsticks I won't go into too much detail about

"Dew The Hoola"....or not!

Hey everyone, As we are now officially in Spring (although it's absolutely freezing when I'm writing this) I tend to start thinking about all things "bronze" in terms of my make up.  I definitely favour a more matte look in the colder months and then go all out bronze/shimmer in the warmer months.  This is also the time that cosmetic brands start bringing out their new launches for Spring and Summer to lure us into that promise of sun-soaked days and summer holidays. This post is about a much-hyped product that launched last year and the reason it's taken me so long to write this is because I've tested it....and tested it.....and tested it...because I wanted to love it...but I just don't! Believe it or not, I'm talking about Benefit's Dew The Hoola liquid bronzer.  If you follow my blogs you will know I am a massive Benefit fan so to be disappointed in a product of theirs is hard for me to take! Let me give you a little information on the p

Review: My Little Box - March 2017

Image
Hey everyone, After missing a blog post on the February My Little Box due to being on holiday (I did do a Facebook Live unboxing which I hated so won't be revisiting them any time soon), this marks a special occasion as it's exactly a year since I started my subscription with My Little Box.  If you're new to my blogs and don't know or haven't heard of My Little Box I will link my first review here and I'll also put some links under my sign-off so you can take a look. 2017 has seen a bit of a re-vamp into the "box" side of things and I'm absolutely loving it.  I honestly don't know what to do with the boxes I have acquired as they are so pretty I can't bear to throw them away (seriously, if there are any crafty people out there reading this - is there something I could do with 10 pretty boxes??). January's "box" was a drawstring bag and it's great to have something I can actually put to use.  For March though we ha

February Favourites!

Hey everyone, I can't believe it's the end of February (and by the time you read this the beginning of March)!! It has quite literally snuck up on me and it was only when I started seeing blogs being posted that I realised!! I'm so looking forward to Spring now and can't wait to see some sunshine. I have a mixture of things for my favourites this month.  I've discovered a couple of new make up ranges which I'm really excited about and I've also been reading a lot too.  I've tried so hard to try and make more time for myself and do the things that I'd like to do more of.  There is always a never-ending cycle of washing, ironing, cleaning and homework to be done but as my mum says "it will still be there in the morning"! I Heart Make Up Range I won't talk too much about this as I recently posted an entire blog about it which I will link here if you'd like to have a read.    I love this range and think their eyeshadow pale

Brand Review: Essence Cosmetics

Image
Hey everyone, I wanted to keep with the theme of the last blog post and do another review on a really super affordable cosmetic brand that I'm so happy I discovered.  Essence Cosmetics is owned by the German company Cosnova Beauty and is a fun, affordable range of make up that you can buy here in the UK online or in high street shop, Wilkinsons.  I personally think it's along the same lines as the Miss Sporty range and would say their branding and affordability is aimed at the teenage market. I have never used anything from them before but had seen some pictures popping up on my Instagram feed and they all came with positive comments.  I knew there were a few things in my make up collection that I needed to update like mascara's, so I grabbed a cuppa and went online to their webpage (you can have a look here ) to have a look at the range of products and also if there were any reviews.  I have to say, pretty much all the reviews were great and the prices are just so
