MONTH THREE DONE ✓ ✓ ✓ March has been a good month! The sun has been shining and I have refrained from making any purchases!  If you read my last post "Finding My Style - A New Series" you will know that I made a few purchases in February.  I will link that post here for you if you haven't read it and also my last monthly update (February) here .   I'm not sure how I've managed to stay away from temptation as I have been to the high street with my mum for birthday presents for family members and I've also been to the brand new Primark in Bluewater but managed to come away empty-handed which I'm over the moon about.  To be honest I didn't really like the Primark as it was so big and I'm not sure about you, but I really don't like shops if they are just too big! MONTH TWO DONE ✓ ✓ ✓ Ok, before I get started, let's just put this out there - confession time - there have been a few purchases this month!! Whilst I have been doing the No Buy Challenge I have also been "curating" my closet at the same time.  This has been, and still is, an ongoing thing and has required me to really look hard at my wardrobe, how I want it to work for me and also my inspirations etc.  I have decluttered and also realised that I was missing a few things in there that I felt would add to my wardrobe.  I don't want to talk to too much about that on this post (I shall do another post when I have finally completed the task) but like I said, there have been a few purchases and I always want to make sure I'm totally honest with you all.  But...I managed to get through February only spending around £30 so I am happy with that and it's a massive improvement on what I would normally spend in a month.  So, other than the few purchases, I hav...

MONTH ONE DONE ✓ ✓ ✓ Why have I decided to embark on a "no buy 2019"? That's probably the first thing to talk about before I go on to say how I have found the first month.  I have never really given any thought to the things I want and buy.  If I see something I like, I want it... I need it in my life, right there and then.  Whether I can afford it or not doesn't come into the equation.   Towards the end of last year (2018) I started to change the way I looked at things.  I took a break from Instagram, which I was finding incredibly toxic and it was the best thing I could have done.  I was finding myself getting caught up in people's daily posts of new outfits and purchases and try as I might, I couldn't help feeling quite jealous that these people could afford to keep going out every day buying new clothes all the time.  I then read that actually, some people just order or buy a load of clothes, take photos for the 'gram and then return the...

F or as long as I can remember I have always loved bags...handbags, purses, toiletry bags, make up bags... I even had an obsession with pencil cases too!!! I used to LOVE going “into town” with my nana and perusing the luggage shop just for fun!! You could guarantee I would come out with some little purse or handbag!   There is something about an object with so many different pockets and compartments.   For the last few years my wash (or toiletry) bag has been a very lovely canvas bag with my initial on that I got from Not On The High Street a few years ago.   As much as I adore this bag, I have noticed over the last few trips away (albeit camping) that it’s not very practical.   Looks have always taken over practicality but there’s only so many times you can drop your nice cream canvas bag on a camping shower floor and not start to get a bit testy about it (trust me, if you’ve ever seen a camping shower floor you’ll know what I mean)! Last month I did a bit of “pay-day” shopping and found myself at the L’Oreal counter in Boots.   They had their new Spring/Summer range out and I was completely sucked in by the beautiful bronze, summery theme. As everything was on 3 for 2 I picked up a huge haul and here are my thoughts after giving them a go for the last month:- Glow Mon Amour Highlighting Drops I was really unsure whether to pick this up as I couldn’t see myself using liquid highlighter on a daily basis but as it was 3 for 2 I thought “why not?”.   There are two different shade options, “Champagne” and “Bellini” and I chose Champagne just because it was more golden than Bellini which is a little more peachy/orange.   A couple of dots on the tops of my cheekbones after I’ve done my concealer and foundation and I’m good to go.   I blend it in with a beauty blender and I love, love, love the subtle sheen it gives my cheeks.    It says you can also use it alone, under found...
