L'Oreal Summer Haul

Image
Last month I did a bit of “pay-day” shopping and found myself at the L’Oreal counter in Boots.   They had their new Spring/Summer range out and I was completely sucked in by the beautiful bronze, summery theme. As everything was on 3 for 2 I picked up a huge haul and here are my thoughts after giving them a go for the last month:- Glow Mon Amour Highlighting Drops I was really unsure whether to pick this up as I couldn’t see myself using liquid highlighter on a daily basis but as it was 3 for 2 I thought “why not?”.   There are two different shade options, “Champagne” and “Bellini” and I chose Champagne just because it was more golden than Bellini which is a little more peachy/orange.   A couple of dots on the tops of my cheekbones after I’ve done my concealer and foundation and I’m good to go.   I blend it in with a beauty blender and I love, love, love the subtle sheen it gives my cheeks.    It says you can also use it alone, under found...

Tanya Burr's "Beauty & The Feast" Christmas Set

Image
Hey everyone,  As you all know by now, I LOVE the Tanya Burr cosmetics range but haven't had a chance to try too many of her products.  I bought two bargain lipsticks in Superdrug in the Spring/Summer (if you fancy giving the range a try it's worth checking for a sale as they do mark things down and my favourite pink lipstick - Central Park - was knocked down to a bargain £1.75!)I thought at the time it would be because they were being discontinued but that shade is still sold to my knowledge, so bargain hunters amongst us, keep your eyes peeled. I'm also not a huge fan of "gift sets", especially at Christmas time. Sceptical I know, but I think they just make me think of the lip palettes I used to get when I was about 12 (which I loved by the way), but now wouldn't really cut the mustard if you know what I mean. On first impressions though, the packaging of this gift set is just stunning.  The artistry on the unusual octagonal box is a sparkly, wintery s...

February Favourites!

Image
Hey everyone, I can't believe it's the end of February (and by the time you read this the beginning of March)!! It has quite literally snuck up on me and it was only when I started seeing blogs being posted that I realised!! I'm so looking forward to Spring now and can't wait to see some sunshine. I have a mixture of things for my favourites this month.  I've discovered a couple of new make up ranges which I'm really excited about and I've also been reading a lot too.  I've tried so hard to try and make more time for myself and do the things that I'd like to do more of.  There is always a never-ending cycle of washing, ironing, cleaning and homework to be done but as my mum says "it will still be there in the morning"! I Heart Make Up Range I won't talk too much about this as I recently posted an entire blog about it which I will link here if you'd like to have a read.    I love this range and think their eyeshadow pale...

Brand Review: Essence Cosmetics

Image
Hey everyone, I wanted to keep with the theme of the last blog post and do another review on a really super affordable cosmetic brand that I'm so happy I discovered.  Essence Cosmetics is owned by the German company Cosnova Beauty and is a fun, affordable range of make up that you can buy here in the UK online or in high street shop, Wilkinsons.  I personally think it's along the same lines as the Miss Sporty range and would say their branding and affordability is aimed at the teenage market. I have never used anything from them before but had seen some pictures popping up on my Instagram feed and they all came with positive comments.  I knew there were a few things in my make up collection that I needed to update like mascara's, so I grabbed a cuppa and went online to their webpage (you can have a look here ) to have a look at the range of products and also if there were any reviews.  I have to say, pretty much all the reviews were great and the prices...
