My No Buy Year - February 2019

Image
MONTH TWO DONE ✓ ✓ ✓ Ok, before I get started, let's just put this out there - confession time - there have been a few purchases this month!! Whilst I have been doing the No Buy Challenge I have also been "curating" my closet at the same time.  This has been, and still is, an ongoing thing and has required me to really look hard at my wardrobe, how I want it to work for me and also my inspirations etc.  I have decluttered and also realised that I was missing a few things in there that I felt would add to my wardrobe.  I don't want to talk to too much about that on this post (I shall do another post when I have finally completed the task) but like I said, there have been a few purchases and I always want to make sure I'm totally honest with you all.  But...I managed to get through February only spending around £30 so I am happy with that and it's a massive improvement on what I would normally spend in a month.  So, other than the few purchases, I hav...

Spring Skincare Part 2 - Evening

Image
Today's post is all about my skincare routine for the evenings.  If you read my previous post you will know that I said I try really  hard to follow this strictly but it doesn't always happen that way, and I have to be honest and say I can be quite lazy when it comes to night time skincare.  I will pop a link to my morning routine HERE so you can catch up with that if you want to, but carry on reading below to find out what I do and the products I use in the evenings. Let me start off by saying that we all have those evenings when we know we really should take off our make up but then we get waylaid and caught up doing other stuff (binge watching Stranger Things on Netflix is my current fave), before you know it it's 11.00pm and you can't be bothered with all the faff! This is most definitely me and for those evenings I will remove my make up using some wipes.  I try really hard not to make a habit of this but I'll be honest and say it happens at least  o...

Review: Jamberry with Laila Nail Wraps

Image
Hey everyone,  I was recently lucky enough to receive some nail wraps to try out from the brand Jamberry.  They were running a Facebook page promotion (I will pop the link to Facebook here )and I was tagged by my good Insta-friend As Seen On Jean (click here to be taken straight to her awesome blog).  I have to admit I had never heard of the brand before and I have never used nail wraps before...ever.  For anyone who knows me or who has followed my blog for a while, will know I suffer with #toddlersizenails!! This is no exaggeration - I honestly think my 6 year old boy has bigger nails than me so I have always stayed clear of false nails and always gone for the easy option of just applying a few coats of nail polish every so often.  This is because false nails never fit and I once had my nails done for a wedding using acrylics and I just couldn't stand how they made my nails feel or look and I picked them off (I know, I can hear the gasps now) at the e...

Happy 1st Birthday Blogs Of A Shopaholic

Image
Hey everyone, Last week marked the first anniversary of "Blogs Of A Shopaholic" and it really got me looking back on this time last year and how I felt about starting a blog. It was a massive step for me to publish that first post.  I can remember it consumed my every thought..."shall I do it?"...."I really would like to give it a try"...."no, I can't do it"...until I eventually realised if I don't do it, what example would I be setting for my boys? I constantly tell them they can do or be whatever they want to do or be, that if there is something they want to do, then just do it, so I did it, to show them that you shouldn't worry what people may think or that you may get a bit embarrassed about something, just do it! And I'm so glad I did.  If you haven't seen the very first post on Blogs Of A Shopaholic I shall link it here . The question I read on a lot of blogs is "what have I learned"? I actually think I...
