MONTH THREE DONE ✓ ✓ ✓ March has been a good month! The sun has been shining and I have refrained from making any purchases!  If you read my last post "Finding My Style - A New Series" you will know that I made a few purchases in February.  I will link that post here for you if you haven't read it and also my last monthly update (February) here .   I'm not sure how I've managed to stay away from temptation as I have been to the high street with my mum for birthday presents for family members and I've also been to the brand new Primark in Bluewater but managed to come away empty-handed which I'm over the moon about.  To be honest I didn't really like the Primark as it was so big and I'm not sure about you, but I really don't like shops if they are just too big! Hey everyone, today I just wanted to explain a little about the Curating My Closet project I've been doing since around January time. This happened to coincide with my "no-buy 2019" which probably wasn't the best timing (as you will read later), but following the Closet plan would involve making some purchases here and there.  I have bought a few things (I will link my last month's post here ) but I will talk in more detail about those items a bit later on.  I am also going to be doing a little series of blogs (hence the title of this post) just documenting things I have found out along the way in terms of "my style" and things that have surprised me a little. MONTH ONE DONE ✓ ✓ ✓ Why have I decided to embark on a "no buy 2019"? That's probably the first thing to talk about before I go on to say how I have found the first month.  I have never really given any thought to the things I want and buy.  If I see something I like, I want it... I need it in my life, right there and then.  Whether I can afford it or not doesn't come into the equation.   Towards the end of last year (2018) I started to change the way I looked at things.  I took a break from Instagram, which I was finding incredibly toxic and it was the best thing I could have done.  I was finding myself getting caught up in people's daily posts of new outfits and purchases and try as I might, I couldn't help feeling quite jealous that these people could afford to keep going out every day buying new clothes all the time.  I then read that actually, some people just order or buy a load of clothes, take photos for the 'gram and then return the...

F or as long as I can remember I have always loved bags...handbags, purses, toiletry bags, make up bags... I even had an obsession with pencil cases too!!! I used to LOVE going “into town” with my nana and perusing the luggage shop just for fun!! It’s not often that something makes me want to write a blog post immediately, right there and then, but that’s exactly what happened this morning. After about a year and a half of debating, deciding, looking at other options, reading reviews on tonnes of other products, I finally decided to order a bottle of the Younique Rose Water Toning Spritz! “Why the delay”? I hear you ask.   Well, because, I actually think the products are incredibly overpriced.   That is obviously just my own personal opinion but as a self-confessed beauty addict I like to know that I can get seriously good quality beauty products in my local high street and still get change from £5. The Younique Rose Water is £23 (excluding shipping costs which were free on the day I ordered) and I think that is a lot of money for a rose water spray.   When you consider, Glossier do a version (Soothing Face Mist) for £15 and Lancome sell their Tonique Confort Hydrating Toner for just £13 (not to me...

I am a massive  fan of liquid lipsticks (well, any kind of lipstick to be fair), but I do tend to gravitate towards liquid lipsticks a little bit more.  I find that these can be great if you want something slightly longer lasting for a night out or if you're after a great matte lip look. I saw these Maybelline Matte Ink Liquid Lipsticks posted on Facebook (I can never remember where I see these things) and hadn't seen them before so thought I'd go and check them out.  They are priced at £9.99 but always on offer and Boots and Superdrug are both doing a 3 for 2 on all cosmetics promotion at the moment.  First of all - the shade range is huge ! Maybelline have recently added around 10 more shades to the already large collection.  The original shades ranged from the classic nudes to pink, oranges, reds and plums.  They have now also added an "Un-Nudes" range which is classed as an "unconventional nude" range with purples, greys and browns.
