March Favourites!
Hey everyone,
It's official!! It's Spring!! and still flipping freezing cold so my enthusiasm for the two mild days we had earlier this month has well and truly worn off!
March has been a quiet month in terms of favourites for me. Although I seem to have bought quite a few new make up and clothing items I haven't really had a chance to put them to good use.... yet!
So here's a quick round-up of the few things I've been reaching for in the month of March:
Nestling Oval Make Up Brushes
I bought these in January and have really enjoyed using them. I was sceptical at first and thought they were very gimmicky but they apply my foundation and concealer so effortlessly and I find them almost therapeutic to use. I bought this set from Amazon and although I've stuck to using mainly the larger ones I am eager to try out the smaller ones for eyeshadow and highlighter.
Essence Cosmetics Colour and Care Lipsticks
I won't go into too much detail about these as I've already done a separate blog post dedicated to an earlier Essence Cosmetics haul (I will link this here if you want to take a look). They are so cheap at £2.50 but the colour pay-off is amazing and they leave my lips feeling super hydrated. Since my earlier blog review I have purchased another colour so will pop an updated swatch picture below.
Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation
I have been using the Rimmel True Match foundation for a while now and wanted to give another formulation a go so decided on this one. Reviews for this were mixed with some people saying it's great for a dewy look and others saying it has too much shimmer but I have to say, I really love the finish it gives. I haven't noticed that it's shimmery but it does give a good amount of glow and leaves my skin feeling comfortable and moisturised but covered. I got this on offer in Superdrug when it was Buy One Get One Half Price but at £8.99 anyway I think it's a great high street foundation.
And that's it for my March Favourites. Like I said, there's not too much to report back on this month but I am testing quite a few things out so I think April may see a slightly longer post!
I'd love to know if you have used any of the things I've mentioned above or if there's something you've really loved this month!
Love Katherine xxx
