Rimmel The Only 1 Matte Lipsticks

If you read my last blog post you will know that I picked up some new Collection Velvet Kiss Lip Creams which I was quite disappointed with.  If you'd like to read that blog before this one just so you know what I'm talking about, I'll link it here

On the same day that I posted that blog I was looking around YouTube and came across a review for Rimmel's The Only 1 Matte Lipsticks.  These are a new collection to the already established The Only 1 Lipsticks which I haven't tried.  I have to admit I did swatch a few of the matte shades when I was in Superdrug buying the Collection Lip Creams but decided against it as I wasn't sure.

I really wish I'd picked these up instead....they are absolutely amazing! They are priced at a very reasonable £4.99 and are currently on offer at Boots for Buy One Get One Half Price.  I picked mine up from Wilkinsons on a 3 for 2 offer but they were slightly higher priced at £6.98.

There are 9 shades in the range and I picked up three of them.  It was so difficult trying to narrow it down but I decided to go for my staples - a nude, a plum and a red!
The consistency of these are just gorgeous.  Soft, creamy and super easy to apply and lets just take a moment to mention the staying power....oh my god....they last.  Not in an uncomfortable drying lip stain way, but a pop it on and forget you're wearing it way!  I think I have to just put it out there and say these are by far my current favourite matte lipsticks.  They have a really nice scent too - not your usual vanilla/cake/sweet scent but almost floral which I love.

The first shade I picked up was 610 High Flyer which is a pinky nude colour.  I don't usually go for this type of nude but was after something a little different to my usual beige nudes and this is just gorgeous.  I applied this at 8.00am and it was still looking fine at 3.00pm after numerous cups of tea and lunch.
The second shade I have is 810 The Matte Factor which is a deep berry/plum colour.  I did wonder whether this would stay as well as High Flyer being much darker but it absolutely does.  I love this colour for autumn.
The last shade I bought was 500 Take The Stage which is a gorgeous deep red shade.  Again, just like The Matte Factor, it stays put for hours and is just so comfortable to wear.  This will definitely be my go-to Christmas shade (sorry for the dodgy lip selfie...the lighting was just awful).
I honestly can't rave about these lipsticks enough.  They are everything I want in a matte lipstick and at a super affordable price.

Do you have any favourite matte lip products?
